I highly recommend Nic. His work is top quality (coming from a perfectionist!) with great attention to detail. It was a really positive experience from start to finish - Nic managed to create a design based on my initial sketches and make other helpful suggestions. Found his digoyal sketchup model really helpful for seeing what the drsign would look like from all angles. Throughout the build he communicated really well on the different elements, deliveries etc. I really appreciated the collaborative way of working to get things just as I wanted and to problem solve certain elements together. He was also completely transparent about materials and labour costs, sharing itemized spreadsheet and keeping me updated on schedule and budget - which came in just under! 5 stars!

Nic's quality of work and attention to detail are second to none. He recently took on building a brand new, purpose-built studio space for me to work as a session musician, music producer and educator – and executed it with precision and professionalism, creating something truly special. I couldn't be happier with the finished product, that is exactly what I had dreamt of, and I would gladly recommend Nic to anyone looking for a timber building.

When we decided we needed an insulated garden studio, replacing a watertight but cold and uninsulated wood store, summerhouse and shed, I was keen to get a genuine small local business, rather than one of the big boys that try to make it appear on Google searches that they are local (but aren't). When it became clear that Nic was based very near me, is a one-man band with a precise eye for detail and absolute dedication to his work, and whose quote came in considerably less than we expected, the decision was easy. Nic consulted with us on every stage of the design and build process; he was completely open about every item of costing, keeping an updated spreadsheet that I could check at any time; is courteous, cheerful, friendly and unremittingly hardworking. He finished his work bang on the six week target and just 0.05% over his original estimate. He signed off this morning, and we are looking forward to spending the rest of this August bank holiday repopulating our much improved outside storage space. It's an absolutely pleasure to deal with a tradesman who has such high standards AND is a lovely chap to boot. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

We were keen to have a room in the back of our garden but wanted to use a lot of recycled material and Nic was brilliant in integrating these and staying flexible in terms of what materials he would source and what we could find by ourselves, all the while sharing very helpful details on what exactly we should look for. The work went very quickly and with the least disruption to the garden possible which we really appreciated. We decided to do a few things ourselves such as the floor and Nic was not only fine with that but also extremely generous with his advice on how we'd best go about that. If you're thinking about building something we'd recommend Nic in a heartbeat. Thanks again for the brilliant work - we really love our beautiful garden room!

Outstanding! From the initial visit and design discussions to the very last finishing touches and throughout a month of construction, Nic has provided an exemplary service and level of care. Nic made sure we were happy with every stage of construction and has been a joy to work with throughout the entire process. We recently had Nick come and build us a garden (model railway) room as seen in his recent Facebook post about small gardens. From start to finish all we can say is outstanding and thats no exaggeration. From communication to work ethic Nick has been brilliant. He takes pride in his work and it really does show. He kept us in the loop the whole time including when offers were available to help keep the costs down where possible.
