Crane Garden Buildings

Crane Garden Buildings was founded in 1974 by David Crane in Dersingham, Norfolk. The company is family-run and has over 50 years' experience. It employs over 130 people and operates 12 show centres across the country. The company offers a 10-year guarantee. It is FSC certified and later PEFC certified.

It holds a Royal Warrant of Appointment. It has partnerships with the National Trust, John Lewis, and Farrow & Ball. Its buildings are handmade to order in Norfolk. Delivery and installation are included. Its main services include garden rooms, garden sheds, garden offices, studios, summerhouses, workshops, greenhouses, and a shepherds hut.

Prospective buyers of a garden office or garden room make up the bulk of feedback for Crane Garden Buildings, several describing themselves as unsure exactly what they wanted before their visit to the Huntingdon show site. Anna is named time and again as the member of staff guiding these conversations, praised for patience and product knowledge when talking through the options on display. Richard is also mentioned for going beyond expectations on one enquiry. Reviewers often mention the range of buildings set up at the Notcutts site on Buckden Road, saying the chance to walk through different structures in person made it easier to settle on a final choice.

A home visit is described in one account, with a member of the team travelling out to discuss budget and requirements ahead of a deposit being arranged back at the showroom. From that point, customers describe the design, purchase and installation stages running smoothly, with communication maintained throughout and the finished garden office matching what had been agreed. The show site welcomes visitors every day of the week, including Sunday afternoons, giving those still deciding on a garden building plenty of opportunity to view examples before committing to an order.
