Garden Rooms by Creative

We are so pleased with our new garden room and the end to end service we received from Steven, Amanda, George and the team. The cost was about a third of what it would be for a similar sized extension which meant we had a bit left over for the pool table we have always wanted. The teams involved (groundwork, joiners, and decorators) were brilliant, which made the process so much easier. Amanda kept us up to date with timings and Steven and George visited regularly to ensure it was all on track and that we were happy with progress. This was a big leap for us and something we were a bit anxious to go ahead with but it could not have gone much smoother and the end result is better than we expected. Chuffed.

I’m sorry to have to write this review. But as the team seem to have disappeared, perhaps this is the only way to get their attention? I cannot recommend this company. The team built a garden room for us in the summer of 2023 but left with a wall that is visibly bending. Steven, the owner of the company, came back out to see the issue for himself and relay the problem to his team. That was in September 2023. 8 months have now passed. Since then the team have dodged all efforts to schedule to come back and fix the problem. No answers to email. No answers to texts. Any calls to the office are met with a response that George, their lead builder, “has not been in the office today.” We are left feeling scammed. And stuck with a £50k building that may not be safe.

Very responsive, great communications, and I now have a fabulous 25sqm garden room. They really went the extra mile to make sure I was happy. The lads on site were good humoured and respectful. The whole experience was the easiest build project I’ve ever been involved in (and there have been many!).

Dealing with Garden Rooms by Creative has been the worst customer experience I have ever had, involving serious communication issues, ignored e-mails and waiting weeks or months for a response. There were very significant delays (months) to the build, partly because they would not reply to my communications, and further delays of many months once the building was about finished. I felt that I had to keep on them constantly and that they showed a significant lack of attention to detail. Things they promised to do failed to make it into the contract, leading to very significant problems later - in particular, the building ended up being damaged because certain protective work the company had promised to do was not done until it was too late to avoid damage. I feel that they dealt very unreasonably with me at almost every stage and at times their tactics seemed deliberately intimidating, but I finally had to draw a line under this awful experience, although I remain very unhappy with where this has left me.

We had a large garden room built by Creative during Q4 2022. We didn't have a fixed design at the beginning and received valuable input from the company on the layout and features that would work best. We particularly liked that Creative always use a solid foundation throughout since we planned to locate a hot tub within a decked canopy and were not convinced that ground anchors were a long term solution. The work proceeded very smoothly and we are very happy with the final product. Any issues we identified at the end of the build were dealt with without question or price implications. In summary I would have no hesitation in recommending Creative as a reliable family business that do what they say they will.

It has been a pleasure to work with Steven and the team in the creation of our new office garden room. The quality and finish of the build is superb opting for a cedar finish to the externals. I would highly recommend Garden Rooms by Creative.

Our new garden room, come home office, come bedroom overspill has just been finished. We are so pleased with the end result. The quality of the build and the quality of the workmanship is simply excellent. The people at 'Garden Rooms by Creative' were great to deal with.
