Arraslea Cabins
What customers say
Couples and small groups seeking a quiet countryside break make up much of the custom at Arraslea Cabins, located on Higg Lane near Belper with views across the Derbyshire dales. Guests repeatedly mention the tranquil, rural setting, with countryside walks available directly from the site and horses and pigs kept on the grounds adding to the appeal. Individual cabins including Brock, Bramble and Hideaway are named by returning visitors, with hot tubs featuring prominently in several accounts of relaxing stays despite occasional poor weather. Small welcome touches come up often, such as wine, chocolates, bread and preserves left for arriving guests, along with cleanliness and comfortable beds. Hosts are consistently described as helpful and attentive, with one guest noting a hot tub fault was resolved quickly once mentioned. The access route up to the cabins is flagged by one visitor as narrow with a steep gradient in places, worth bearing in mind when arriving by car. Proximity to Matlock Bath and surrounding villages is mentioned as a bonus for those wanting access to local towns without sacrificing seclusion. The site operates with no fixed hours, reflecting its nature as self-contained overnight accommodation available to booked guests around the clock throughout the week.

Peaceful and beautiful views across the dales. Care on the approach road that is steep and single track in places
Spent two nights at Arraslea Cabins. Cabin was exactly how pictures show. Spacious for two people. Self catering so can dine in or out. Cabin well equipped, included large towels. Loved the little gifts when we arrived. The hot tub was lovely after all the hill walking. Very peaceful and tranquil. The site is easy to access. Loved waking up to horses in the fields. You are left to get on with your stay unless you need to contact the host. Thank you for letting us stay and would love to come back and stay again sometime!
What an amazing little place! The little cabins are warm and cosy! The hot tubs are a great touch and in such a quiet and peaceful area. The family are so lovely and really helpful. loads of lovely little touches such as a bottle of fizz, chocolates, bread and jam for breakfast! all unexpected and great! We had a lovely weekend away and will be coming back.
We love the cabins, Brock and Bramble. It is our hideaway place, close tohome but far enough away to be away. Corinne is lovely, very helpful and communicative. The only reason I have given 4.9 not 5 stars is the humming of the hot tub sometimes keeps me awake (but that's me being a light sleeper I suspect) The joy however, of sitting on a dark starry night in hot bubbles, drinking wine in the hot tub is immense and worth tge overnight hum. We also love to sit in bed with the curtains open, drinkig our first cup of tea watching the busyness of the song birds goig about their day. In short, we love Arraslea. Our go to hideaway....😘
Absolutely beautiful cabin. We only stayed one night but will definitely be back. Lovely and peaceful. Great amenities. Spotlessly clean. A lovely touch by the owners to leave wine and chocolates and with bread, milk and a lovely little jar of butters and preserves. We wanted a quiet break away and we got just that. Bliss. Beautiful horses and we love the little pigs! Scenic views all around. Really loved it. Highly recommended. Thank you
