Mike was fantastic at communicating throughout, and the quality of the buildings is excellent.

I purchased a shed from Crane nine years ago and whilst costly I was reassured by their reputation for quality buildings. Unfortunately the roof was fitted without a lining or proper roofing screws and has subsequently begun leaking in several areas with interior wood showing signs of rot. It appears that investing extra does not necessarily ensure a thoroughly engineered, durable structure and have been quoted as much as the original purchase price to repair. Look elsewhere.

I was really impressed with the assistance provided by Mike Gritt at the Trentham Show Centre. Mike is clearly knowledgeable about the company’s range of sheds and garden buildings, and it was both helpful and reassuring to see many of the available options in person. Being able to discuss the benefits and associated costs face-to-face made a big difference to my wife and I. We began our search by simply Googling sheds, but quickly found the sheer number of manufacturers and price ranges overwhelming. Since these sheds aren’t the cheapest on the market, seeing the materials, build quality, and finishes firsthand helped justify the cost over a more basic shed. I hope the initial investment proves worthwhile when we look back in 10 or so years! Although we’ve yet to take delivery, the initial guidance and ordering experience absolutely deserves 5 stars. Hopefully, I’ll be able to follow up with another 5-star review once the shed is delivered and installed. Update 11/3/26 - Shed now installed and installation just as organised as the rest of the company. Very happy with the quality and the service throughout. Fitters were super efficient and a credit to the company. Really happy with my choice of shed/manufacturer. 5 stars.

We were really impressed with the Crane Garden Buildings display at Trentham Garden Centre. There are a wide range of summerhouses and garden studios on display and Mike and Jo, the sales team there, were extremely helpful, their product knowledge was excellent and they provided numerous quotes for us on a variety of different summerhouses, which really helped us make the right choice of garden room for our needs.

I was really pleased with the quality of the garden buildings on display at the Trentham showrooms. There are a wide range of styles and for every style a multiplicity of options (sizes, colours, extras). Given this it is essential to have guidance and for this we were lucky to have Mike. He was very patient, producing five or six quotes over a month as we homed in on our final order. He was even good enough to come over and view our rather complicated site to make sure it was suitable. Both the Trentham showroom and our salesman were key to our choosing to purchase a garden office from Crane. PS. A problem for Crane is their showroom is so difficult to find, hidden behind Trentham Garden Centre, so they are not likely to catch passing visitors to the Centre. Better signage might help?
