SmartSpaces - Garden Rooms

Smart spaces were brilliant from start to finish! Katy was great at helping us through the process of deciding the size, finish, colour, flooring etc of the building. And the builders were friendly and considered many things around position and placement of sockets etc for the building. Very professional and the final building is fantastic! A really great space that J use as an office. Couldn’t recommend more highly!

Smart Spaces recently built a garden office for me, and I’m really pleased with how it turned out. The team was easy to deal with, kept me informed throughout, and stuck to the agreed timeline. The build quality is solid, and the space works really well for what I need. It’s made a big difference to my work-from-home setup, and I’d definitely consider using them again for future projects. No fuss, no drama – just a good job done well.

Really happy with our lean to workshop / gym / office (we added the internal elements like the gym rack, collapsible work benches, and desk). It is an awkward build that gets wider towards the front to follow the boundary and maximise the space, and it’s attached to the house so not the usual project for Smart Spaces. The team on site did an excellent job, can’t fault it. They also added timber joists to the wall to provide an anchor for our gym rack to attach to, something they didn’t have to do as it wasn’t previously discussed. Without it we would have struggled to install the gym rack. There were a few hiccups along the way in terms of misunderstood / incorrect details, but the communication was constant and the team were always striving to make sure everything was 100% clear, and ultimately they did do everything that we asked for in the end. They sent out a snagging guy at the end of the build to make sure we were happy with everything, and there were fine details - that we hadn’t previously thought of - that he sorted for us (like adding a trim to the rear side of the cladding at the bottom of the hidden door so it doesn’t splinter against our gravel at the front of the house). So overall the service wasn’t perfect, but they strived to be perfect, and were totally honest and fair. The quality of the build itself, is outstanding. Thinking of asking about a sauna shed next!

We’ve had our Smart Space studio for nearly three years and we love it. The team will support you in all aspects of design and listen to your brief. We wanted an extra space to bring the outside inside (as well as a little hide away for myself to watch the football) we use the room for cinema nights, in all seasons. The space is airy and easy to heat in the winter. Our friends and family always compliment us on the quality of the product. We can’t recommend enough. Thank you.
